K guys...I need some help here for a friend in England
He has a 6 month old lil baby that he has been taking care of (by himslef) since he was a week old....The baby's mom left with another man and left the baby with my friend...Now that she has married this guy she left with(whome didn't want her to take the baby with them when she left the baby and my friend) she has now decided that she wants the baby and is taking my friend to court....The baby is now 6 months old...And only knows my friend and a parent...My friend is the baby's biological father...Any chance that this bitch will get the baby....They go to court Sept 7 on the issue...HELPPPPPPPPPPPP please....
Anyone....Remember they are in England...
Thanks guys

welp! i donno about that stuff in england....
BUT he should have got HER when she left....
He should have already done the legal stuff.. to be able to keep the baby...
But he didnt, he probly now has to get a real expencive lawyer...n stuff!
* wish him all the luck in the world...
because here.. they call it child abandenment (sp?) if you do the legal stuff right when it happens....
most everything is on your side...

Like mel, I don't know the legal ins and outs of England...
But there is no limitation on mother hood..unless he can prove her unfit. Unfortionately, the courts probably won't look at her leaving that child with it's father as abandonment. She left it in a safe home, I'm guessing...
sounds like he has a good chance at primary custody..but he is likely going to have to share custody with the mother.
BUT...if he can afford a lawyer...one who will play "just a litle bit dirty"...he might be able to scare her a little bit and keep the ball in his court....he could ask for back child support if she didn't pay any....if he is granted primary custody he should recieve child support right on thru to the childs eighteenth birthday. Little things like that seem to go a long way.
On the other hand...unless this woman is completely awful...taking a mother out of a childs life because she made a fucked up decision or because you are angry at her...isn't really fair either.. Sharing custody might not be such a bad thing to think about.
Sorry about this long post mel...*S
*looks around*
What the hell am I doing?
